Hi folks! As a little diversion from the current thread morph back to my early post, Miss Robin arrived home this evening. I think Chambers did a wonderful job choosing their colors. I'd be hard-pressed to choose my favorite from the pastel group. They're all quite lovely.
Robin's porcelain in in beautiful shape, but her chrome top is a definite do-over. Her griddle is so badly warped that I'm not sure any amount of pounding/hammering will get it back into shape; the deformity is truly impressive. The rest is pretty normal for a well-used stove.
The parts stove fell through, though. After hauling all the way into Brooklyn, we found the front panel was chipped after a (hiding in the grime below the oven door), so I declined to bring it home. It was a bummer.
So on the up side, my collecting illness isn't quite as bad as previously diagnosed. Wahoo!!!!!! I might recover yet. I'm even looking at Daisy for parts, but I feel kind of guilty about it. Poor thing.
